U19 Green - Jamie McIntyre

With a passion for softball and an eagerness to give back to the sport she loves, Coach Jamie McIntyre is our new head coach for the U19 Green team. As a proud alumni, Coach Jamie comes to us with a Level II Competitive Coaching Certification and she is amazing on the field and off.  In recent years, Coach Jamie has led teams to both Provincials and Nationals. She began her coaching career with Kaizen as an assistant coach on our U15 Black team in 2022. The following year, she moved to the U17 Black team, as an assistant coach, which went on to win a Bronze medal at Provincials and then played at Nationals.

Coach Jamie’s playing career began in the community of South Bow River and then she moved over to Kaizen where she played on the original Kaizen team that won Nationals and put the team in the Alberta Softball Hall of Fame. She was also selected to play on Team Alberta at the Canada Summer Games where she won a Bronze medal and the team made it into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. Following her years at Kaizen, Coach Jamie played softball at Dickinson State University, where her team successfully made it into the Dickinson State University Hall of Fame.

Coach Jamie’s coaching philosophy is to work with athletes to improve both their physical and mental skills. Her goal is to always leave a positive impact on the players by creating an atmosphere/culture that allows them to increase their confidence and see their experience in sport as a fun and positive one. She is passionate about softball and wants to give back to the sport that has given her so much.

We are very excited to have one of our own now coaching the next generation of players and we are very lucky to have someone like Coach Jamie on our roster.
